The Texas Pan Guarantee
Every pan we make is built to be handed down, so our guarantee lasts as long as the pan does, and it goes with the pan to whoever owns it next.
Register your pan to activate the guarantee
Every pan has a serial number (like TPC-000123) engraved on the underside of the handle. Your pan must be registered before we can take a guarantee claim. It takes about a minute.
Got a pan secondhand or as a hand-me-down? Register it with your name. If it's already registered to someone else, we'll verify the transfer and may check with the previous owner before moving it to you. Pans reported stolen won't be transferred.
What's covered
If something we did fails on a registered pan, we'll repair or replace it and pay shipping both ways:
- A rivet that loosens, shears, or pulls through
- A handle that cracks, breaks, or comes loose
- A crack or split anywhere in the pan
- A pan that warps under normal cooking heat, with a noticeable wobble or tilt when it sits on a flat surface
- Anything else that fails because of how we made it
What's not covered
We'd rather tell you now than argue about it later.
- Things carbon steel just does. Blotchy color, patina, scratches, seasoning that wears thin in spots, and surface rust. All of it is fixable.
- Rust from leaving it wet. The dishwasher, an overnight soak, or a week in the sink.
-
Warping from:
- Thermal shock: cold water into a hot pan, dropping a hot pan into a sink of water, or setting it on snow, ice, or a wet stone counter
- Leaving it empty on high, or on induction's boost or power setting, for long stretches
- A burner much smaller than the pan, turned all the way up
- Oven self-clean cycles
- Burning the seasoning off with a torch or forge
- Accidents and hard use. Dropping it, standing on it, prying with the handle, or using it as a hammer.
- Alterations. Grinding, drilling, cutting, re-riveting, or re-handling it yourself.
- Lost or stolen pans.
If it isn't covered, we'll still tell you how to fix it. If it's something we can fix in the shop, we'll tell you what it would cost before we do anything.
How to make a claim
- Fill out the guarantee claim form with your serial number and what happened.
- Add 2–3 photos: the problem up close, the whole pan, and the serial number on the handle.
- We'll reply within 2 business days. Please don't send the pan back until you hear from us. If it's covered, we'll email you a prepaid shipping label.
- We'll repair or replace it and ship it back. If we've changed the design by then, you'll get the closest thing we make.
