American steel, American copper, made by us in Gilmer, Texas.
Every Texas Pan Company skillet starts as a sheet of steel we pick up ourselves in Kilgore, Texas, and finishes in our shop in Gilmer. Here's what goes into it and how it's made.
What goes into it
- Steel
- 12-gauge carbon steel from Star International in Kilgore, Texas. We haul it to our shop ourselves.
- Rivets
- Copper rivets, made in the USA.
- Seasoning
- Our seasoning is made in Jamestown, New York, and packed in American-made tins.
How it's made

Cut
We cut each circle and handle from the steel on our CNC table.

Sand
Every circle and handle gets sanded down.

Press
Each pan is formed on our hydraulic press, one at a time.

Season
Pans and handles are seasoned with grapeseed oil for one hour at 500°F.

Engrave
We engrave the serial number and our logo on the handle.

Rivet
The handle is riveted to the pan.

Finish
A light coat of grapeseed oil, and it ships out of Gilmer.
